I recently went to the National Theatre's Costume and Props Hire and OMG it is absolute heaven there. The lovely staff managed to fit me in a last minute appointment to hire some costumes for The Polka Dots video. I managed to get everything i needed within my budget which was incredible given the amount of extras i had to dress!
I shall definitely be going back there the next time i need some specialist clothing. Every costume that has been used in a National Theatre's play ends up there, so as you can imagine there is a LOT! I went there in particular as i needed some 1940s American GI uniforms. They of course had some knocking about from an earlier production of South Pacific.
.
Here are some photos to show you just how much of a cave of wonders it is there. Hidden away in the back streets of Oval, this is truly a gem of the costuming world!
