Page Blanche

Now considering that my roots are as a Theatre Designer, i haven't really posted much about it. Recently, i don't think i have been watching anywhere near as much Theatre as i should. However, on Sunday i luckily stumbled on a performance happening outside the National Theatre as part of the Thames Festival. I am so glad i did as it ended up being one of the best pieces of performance art i have ever had the joy to watch. The play was called 'Page Blanche' and was by a Belgian company called Compagnie Luc Amoros. It was incredible.

It is extremely difficult to describe this peformance, but thankfully i took some photos to show you. Basically it is a live art show featuring nine canvases stretched out to form a giant blank page. 6 actors use these 'canvas's' and 300 kilos of paint to create political messages and extraordinary works of art.

I am having real difficulty describing why this was so amazing. All i know is that i enjoyed it so much. You really have to see it live to understand, but i hope these photos can begin to demonstrate how engaging this performance actually was.
