His Heart Is Gold, But His Body Is Iron.

It's here. The trailer for a new Kung Fu feature film i am designing the costumes for has finally been released.

Here is a brief synopsis-
"A fierce new Triad boss arrives in London’s Chinatown to find his profits have tumbled. The cause? An enigmatic Shaolin Monk has turned people away from drugs and prostitution; his guidance is now their ‘protection’. The Triad try and force the Monk to leave but years of meditation have given him incredible kung fu skills. The Monk soon finds himself fighting to save not only his life but also the values he holds most sacred."

I am really happy with how it's turned out so please have a look. You'd never know it but we filmed this in the freezing cold snow blizzard just before Christmas. It was a tough shoot but the crew were lovely and we managed to achieve so much despite the weather conditions. I met so many great people. A friend of mine recommended me for this job and i am so glad she did as i think it is going to look stunning in my portfolio and i had an opportunity to work with this excellent crew.

It was such an experience watching the amazing stuntmen in action. Iron Monk promises to use no CGI so all the action is REAL!

Here it is-

The film was directed by Mat Sunderland, written by Mark Pallis and produced by Jason Ninh Cao, with stunts by Vincent Wang. It stars Yanzi Shi, Jason Ninh Cao, Vincent Wang, Hon Ping Tang, Yan Lei and Zara Phythian. The stunt crew was made up from some of the best people in the industry who have been involved in a lot of big films like ‘Batmen Begins’, ‘Inception’, ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Captain America’ and many, many more.

Hopefully this will be the first great British Kung Fu movie of it's kind.

Here are some stills taken by Rupert Quintin Shelbourne-
